A foster home that became a family of eight

The idea for Dream Home Team began when we learned about the Allen family. Jay and Sandy Allen made the decision in 1998 to open their home to foster children in need. In 2004, with their own children grown and out of the house, the Allens adopted six foster children and gave them a permanent home. Jay and Sandy happily welcomed the children (ranging from 1 to 17 years old) into their modest, three-bedroom, one-bath home. This truly selfless act of kindness gave friends of the Allens an idea. As others learned their story, the response became unanimous — let’s give the Allens a house that will meet the needs of their new and larger family. Dream Home Team was created to make this dream a reality. And we invite you to join us in this rewarding work.
